A motor in the base, accordingly, the "ears" do not vibrate and nothing is felt. The vibration itself is also poor and covered in plastic. One feels more that it barely rumbles than vibration. Bought on sale, and not even worth it. Should strictly speaking not be sold as this simply cannot be called a vibrator.
