The peg is of good quality and solid structure, firm but suitably soft. The vibration feels a little lighter, but seems to be durable, and as a bonus it can be removed and used on its own (it does stay firmly attached otherwise). The button is perhaps a little more awkward to use, especially in action, so a slight minus there. The pin is also easy to slip in as long as you use the slider, which wasn't a hassle at all. There are 4 different patterns of vibration and a standard vibration with 3 different speeds (the patterns do not have adjustable speed). As a beginner I would say that the intensity is ok. The battery seems to last well. The product came with one battery and spare batteries can also be found, although maybe not in the grocery store.

I like conventional pins with a symmetrical cone, no beads. That's what I'd like to have with a shimmer. This was the first inherited pin I've tried.
