The candle is much smaller than expected, but works as it should. the melted oil is not too hot against the skin, but you can feel that it stings a little. If you are not into too hot oil, you can let the extinguished candle stand for a minute.
The oil itself is a bit sticky and has a special scent, would not exactly call it vanilla ...
My boyfriend tried massaging me before the oil, and then with the oil afterwards, one could clearly feel a difference so the oil works as it should. However, I'm a little sad that it's so thick/sticky that you can not really touch anything until you have washed your hands.
